The Governor has advised the VC to take immediate steps to restore the academic schedules and help the students regain the time lost because of recurring postponement of exams and delays in declaration of results. In this context, the Governor on Wednesday spoke to Sarita Chouhan, Commissioner for Higher Education, to urgently collaborate with Talat Ahmad and the Vice Chancellor of the Cluster University of Kashmir to discuss and decide on an agreed approach to reduce or cancel vacations and announce revised examination schedules for the students in all colleges of the Valley. The Governor also stressed the importance of the students being guided and assisted by their teachers to overcome academic or personal problems. The VC informed the Governor that he had various ideas in mind for the assistance of students and that those would be implemented early.
