KSO organises press conference

Kuki Student Organisation (KSO), Churachandpur organised a press conference today at its administrative office located at KIC Complex,Tuibong.
The press conference was organised on the planned Interaction Programme with parents of students on various issues and challenges confronting the education scenario in Churachandpur district including tuition fees that are randomly increased each year, compulsory study camp for two month with high charges, denial of sending weaker students for board examinations thereby compounding fines or deposits by private schools, and performance of government run schools amongst others.
Today’s press conference was attended by president, KSO, LalkhohauHaokip and its general secretary, JangminthangHaokip.
Briefing media persons, LalkhohauHaokip stated that interaction programme will focus on the above mentioned matters and is scheduled to be held at KIC complex on November 10. He also urged all parents to attend the programme which is organised with the main objective of helping students while adding that KSO plans to take the matter of the problems faced by parents in regards to students to theschools authorities concerned through consultation.
The DC of Ccpur and ZEO will also attend the interactive program which will highlight the Right to Education Act 2009 where likeminded individuals and various CVOs will also be there to present their viewpoints, he added.
Additional sources from KSO stated that irrespective of economic backgrounds, all children must be asked to avail compulsory education in the light of RTE Act 2009 and similar government directives to ensure education for every child along with the harmonious existence of government run schools and private educational institutions which also need be emphasised as a main door for disseminating basic educational requirements.
