Seven held after scuffle at Shahadra
Seven people have been arrested after a scuffle broke out between two groups in Shahadra’s Geeta colony area during Diwali celebrations. Police said that four people were injured during the scuffle over some petty issue.
According to the police, they received a police control room call informing about a firing in the area after which the team rushed the spot.
“After reaching the spot not a single empty cartridges was found at the spot. It further came to light that the duo groups used to sell liquor sometimes back in the area and it was alleged that the clash took place over sale of liquor but no liquor was found to be sold by the police during investigation,” said a senior police officer.
Police said that it was further revealed that an argument erupted between seven to eight people over some petty issue following which they even broke the windscreen of a car. Four people also sustained minor injuries. However, they are in stable condition now, a senior police officer said. DCP (Shahadra) Meghna Yadav said, cross FIRs were registered by both the parties.
