Judicial Service Exam 2018 - The Delhi High Court Is Inviting Applications For 147 Posts By December 22nd
The Delhi High Court is inviting applications for the Judicial Service Exam 2018, with 147 new vacancies.
The Delhi HC will hire 147 new officers and not just 50, as reported earlier. These officers will be recruited on the basis of merit in the Delhi Judicial Service Examinations, which will be held in two phases – a preliminary (objective type format) test, and shortlisted candidates from the prelims will be slated to appear in the mains, whose dates are yet to be announced.
The last date to apply (and register) for this exam, is December 22, 2018.
As per the announced schedule, the testing committee will organize the Delhi Judicial Service Preliminary Examination (objective type exam) on January 13, 2019.
Eligibility criteria for the examination
The court has mandated the following requirements, which must be fulfilled for a candidate to be considered eligible for this examination:
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- The candidate must either be a practicing Advocate in India, or a person who is qualified enough to be an Advocate, under the terms laid out in the Advocates’ Act of 1961.
- The candidate should not be over the age of 32 years (maximum limit)
The court is inviting applications from eligible candidates to register online, on its official website (www.delhihighcourt.nic.in). Candidates need to pay a registration fee of Rs 1,000 if they belong to the General category. The registration fee is subsidized to Rs 200 for ST/SC/Disabled candidates. The fee can be remitted online via either a debit card, or using Internet banking. The candidates are advised to retain a hard copy (print-out) of their completed application form for all future references/correspondence.
