ISLAMABAD: A high-level business delegation of the Netherlands would visit Pakistan in March 2019 to explore investment opportunities, particularly in agriculture and agro-business, announced Netherlands Ambassador Ardi Braken.

She met Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce, Textile, Industries, Production and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood on Friday and discussed investment plans of Dutch companies for Pakistan.

The envoy also highlighted the positive feedback from Dutch companies on the recently announced economic and business facilitation package. She invited Pakistani business leaders to participate in the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in the Netherlands in June 2019.

The PM adviser welcomed investment plans of the Dutch companies, saying foreign direct investment was among top priorities of Pakistan government.

He asked the Dutch ambassador to revisit the travel advisory for Pakistan and cited the example of Portuguese government, which positively revised its travel advisory.

He assured the Dutch ambassador of full support for enhancing economic cooperation and business linkages between the two countries.

Sharing economic vision of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, he highlighted the recent economic initiatives related to the ease of doing business, which were expected to give a boost to foreign direct investment and business activity in the country.
