Rohit Sharma might join this elite list of players if he scores 46 runs in 5th ODI
Indian opener Rohit Sharma needs just 46 runs to join the elite list of players with 8,000 ODI runs. If he manages to do so in the upcoming fifth ODI against Australia, he will not only enter the prestigious category but will also become the third fastest along with Sourav Ganguly, to achieve this milestone in his 200th inning.
Rohit Sharma scored a fantastic 95 runs in the fourth ODI in Mohali and had 193 run partnership stand along with opener Shikhar Dhawan. Rohit has 7,954 runs from 205 ODI matches and has an average of 47.35. Rohit has 22 ODI centuries and 40 half-centuries with the highest score of 264 runs.
Both Australia and India will like to win the ODI series. For India its the last bilateral ODI series before the World Cup and for Australia, this could be a chance to gain their confidence back after streak of poor series performances.
