Saif Ali Khan to make TV debut with Dipika Kakar’s show: After making a foray in the digital world with Sacred Games, Saif Ali Khan is all set to make his TV debut with a show that stars two most popular television icons, Dipika Kakar and Karan V Grover. According to Mumbai Mirror, the actor will introduce the lead characters to the audiences. Telly buffs would remember how Shah Rukh Khan shot for a similar Kasauti Zindagi Kay trailer wherein he talked about the romantic journey of lead characters Prerna and Anurag.


According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, Saif Ali Khan has, in fact, started shooting for the show produced by Sandeep Sickand at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai. As per the report, Saif shot for a scene recently at a studio in Mumbai where he plays Cupid between the leads. Saif shot for the sequence alone that involved a monologue. He also gave the voiceover for the female protagonist


As a source told the daily, “Saif shot a sequence where the leads are deciding where to go on a date. He shot alone for the part which featured a monologue and involved voice modulation as he is also shown giving voiceover for the female protagonist. The shoot went on for four-five hours.”

Dipika was last seen in Bigg Boss 12 where she was declared the winner. He was last seen on a TV drama in Sasural Simar Ka.

Speaking of the show, it will feature the love story between Karan V Grover and Dipika Kakar. It is a mature love story about unrequited love. While Dipika plays the role of an actress, Karan plays a cardiologist.

There are rumors that Dipika’s BB 12 rival Romil Chaudhary has been approached for a role in the show.  Speaking on the same he said, “I am also hearing that I am doing the show from the media only (laughs out). Nothing is confirmed and I cannot say much. You have to ask the producers of the show.”

Saif will be next seen in Sacred Games, the second season along with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kalki Koechlin, Ranvir Shorey, Pankaj Tripathi, and the likes.
