Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar is a busy man on social media. From predicting to analyzing matches, the Rawalpindi Express also speaks out on issues that are serious and never minces words in putting forth his viewpoint. He also has funny takes on things at times, making himself immensely popular with fans, irrespective of the nationality.

Akhtar has made a name for himself in the ICC World Cup this year by correctly predicting some match results. The 43-year-old, however, made some funny observations on dashing Indian left-hander Yuvraj Singh who quit the game on Monday. Yuvraj’s sudden announcement about retiring from the game at a press conference in Mumbai took everybody by surprise.

While people kept speculating what the man would do next, Akhtar came up with funny advice. Calling Yuvraj a “great friend and a great younger brother”, Akhtar asked the 37-year-old to have two kids now. Yuvraj, it can be mentioned here, is married to British-Mauritian model Hazel Keech since 2016.

“You have been a great friend and a great younger brother. Now quickly go and have two kids. This is more important now because you haven’t had kids. Earlier you used to feed the bowlers, now it’s time feed your kids,” the former Pakistan fast bowler said on his YouTube channel.

You were terrifying to face, says Yuvraj

Akhtar also praised Yuvraj for his key unbeaten half-century that had won India the game against Pakistan in the 2003 World Cup. Akhtar was a part of the Pakistani bowling line-up and saw Yuvraj counter-attacking after he took the wicket of Sachin Tendulkar. Yuvraj reciprocated to Akhtar’s praises and conceded that one had required a lot of courage to face Akhtar’s bowling. “Trust me Every time u ran into bowl at me it was terrifying!” he said.

Yuvraj, who made his India debut in 2000 against Kenya in an ICC tournament, played 304 matches to score 8,701 runs and take 111 wickets. His highest point came in the 2011 World Cup when he was chosen the man of the series as India lifted their second World Cup trophy.

Here’s Yuvraj’s response
