Beauty Mantra: Say goodbye to acne with these DIY honey masks
Are you tired of looking at those pimples and acne on your skin? Have you tried everything possible from going to the dermatologist, to kitchen items, but nothing seems to work? Try using honey — it contains fine antibacterial properties which help in killing germs.
Honey with baking soda
Take two spoons of raw honey and mix it with one spoon of baking soda. Apply this mixture on the acne affected areas. Rub this on in a circular motion and let it sit for around five minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water. Use this pack once every 3-5 days for best results.
Honey and turmeric
You will need just one spoon of honey and a pinch of turmeric for this. Mix the two together and apply it on the skin, let it set for around 30 minutes. Once dry, wash the face with lukewarm water. Practice this once every week.
Honey and apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar contains organic acids that may help kill the bacteria that cause acne. Take two spoons of honey and mix with one spoon water and apple cider vinegar. Mix this well and using cotton, apply the pack on the acne area. Massage it well, so your skin absorbs this mixture. Leave it on for 40 minutes and then wash off with water.
Honey and green tea
Dunk a tea bag into hot water for a few minutes. Let it cool and then open it up. Mix the warm tea leaves with one spoon honey to form a paste. Rinse your face with the cooled down green tea and then apply the paste on the acne prone areas. Rinse your face after 20 minutes.
Honey and lime
Mix one spoon of honey, half a teaspoon of lime juice, some lime zest and raw sugar. Add all the ingredients in a cup and mix well. It will form a scrub that you can use on the acne-prone areas of your face. Leave it on for 30 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water.
