Four-year-old Ananya, a victim of dog bite, was today discharged from the PGIMER after five days. She was attacked by a stray dog near her house in Sector 4, Panchkula, on Sunday.

She was rushed to the Sector 6 hospital, Panchkula, from where she was referred to the PGIMER due to her serious condition. She was operated upon the next day.

Her father, a daily labourer, said he had been asked to bring her again to the PGIMER on July 15 for check-up. She would have to undergo another surgery after three weeks, he added. He said the girl had now started talking and could also take food. — TNS
