AISF demands uniform education system in country
Tarnaka: The All India Students Federation (AISF) on Monday demanded that both the Central and the State governments implement a common education system. Raising the demand, State AISF organising secretary R N Shankar led a rally under the auspices of Secunderabad committee from Osmania University campus to Tarnaka. He hoisted AISF flag at Tarnaka Crossroads.
Shankar pointed out that the education system should be scientific and criticised the current system as a burden on the poor. He alleged that corporate educational institutions were collecting lakhs as fees. Hence, there was a need for a common education system.
Shankar also said that AISF would move forward with the aim of a strong student agitation to press the demand. Among those who participated in the rally were AISF Hyderabad unit vice-president Prem, district secretary Naresh, Sriman, Kompalli Srinivas, Vamsi, Shiva and Raju.
