Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is getting ready to launch his prestigious Rythu Bharosa scheme on October 15. The government would provide Rs 12,500 to every farmer towards crop investment. Though he was scheduled to start this scheme from the next kariff as promised in the election manifesto, he had decided to advance it for this year’s rabi season. The chief minister had invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to launch the scheme on October 15 and directed the State officials to make arrangements accordingly.

The chief minister wants every state in the country to watch this scheme and his performance. He is planning to hit the headlines of the national media and thus reach out to the people across the country on his initiatives for the welfare of the people in general and farmers in particular. The chief minister would be launching the village and ward voluntaries scheme from August 15 as promised. The volunteers have already been appointed across the State and they would be delivering the government welfare benefits to the door steps of the people.

The government is now getting ready to open the village secretariats from October 2, where the issues concerning the people are to be addressed. The opening of the village secretariats also reduces the burden of the people making rounds to the government offices for issuance of certificates and grant of new schemes, including the benefits like housing, pension etc. Once, the village volunteers and the village secretariats are in place, the chief minister is planning to undertake district-wise tours to make ground level assessment on his government performance and make changes accordingly.

Aiming high in providing clean and corruption free governance, the chief minister had launched these initiatives which are set to draw the attention of the nation, as he is expecting. It is to be seen how far he would be successful in his administrative reforms.
