Spider Man: Far From Home star Jake Gyllenhaal plays coy when asked if Mysterio is still alive
Jake Gyllenhaal played the antagonist Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home and while Spider-Man was able to defeat his frenemy, there are still conspiracy theories surrounding Mysterio's death. Read below to know what Jake had to say when a fan asked if Mysterio could be returning.
Spider-Man: Far From Home marked Jake Gyllenhaal's entry to Marvel as Quentin Beck aka Mysterio. Fan of the comics were well aware of the fact that Quentin was actually a villain and not Peter Parker's friend. Staying true to the comics, we came to know while watching the Jon Watts directorial that Mysterio is actually, the bad guy! However, Spider-Man was able to defeat his frenemy and we saw Mysterio die, or did we? Multiple conspiracy theories suggest that there's more than meets the eye.
During an appearance on Talks at Google, Jake was asked by a fan if a "dead" Mysterio will return as a member of the Sinister Six. To this, Gyllenhaal adorably played coy and said, "Oh, man. Wow. I mean, like, I think that — you know, I mean, you know." Furthermore, when his Sea Wall/A Life broadway show co-star Tom Sturridge jokingly pointed out that Jake would get struck down by a dart in order to not answer the question, the 38-year-old actor pretended to collapse.
"Oh, I lost my mic, sorry. Oh whoops, I lost my mic! I can’t answer your question. No, I mean, I think that, I think... he’s dead, man. Right? Right? Right?," Jake quipped.
