Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 pre-registration begins in India; launch seems imminent

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 may launch in India soon. The chaebol has already started the pre-registration process of its next-gen flagship slate so it may just a matter of days before it debuts in the country. The Galaxy Tab S6 was introduced back in July – days before the launch of Galaxy Note 10 series smartphones. Customers can ‘register their interest’ for Galaxy Tab S6 from Samsung’s website. They’ll have to give in their name, email-ID, and mobile number to receive the latest update about the tablet, including India launch, price, and availability. The Galaxy Tab S6 will most likely be available in Cloud Blue, Rose Blush, and Mountain Grey colour options.
The Tab S6 is a successor to last year’s Galaxy Tab S5. It ships with an in-display fingerprint scanner, Snapdragon 855 mobile platform, a massive battery with fast charging support, and near bezel-less display. The Galaxy Tab S6 also features deX for desktop mode and support for keyboard. Samsung has included a new and improved S Pen support with the new Android-powered tablet as well. The S Pen supports wireless charging, Bluetooth radio, air gestures, and magnetically attaches to the back panel of Galaxy Tab S6 for “easy storage.”

For those unaware, the Galaxy Tab S6 boots Android 9 Pie-based OneUI out of the box. The tablet features a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with WQXGA resolution (2,560 x 1,600 pixels). The Tab S6 is the world’s first tablet with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, the tablet employs an octa-core Snapdragon 855 SoC, aided by 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage variants with support for storage expansion up to 1TB using a microSD card.
In the camera department, the Galaxy Tab S6 houses 13-megapixel + 5-megapixel ultra-wide sensors at the back and an 8-megapixel snapper on the front for selfies and video calling. The phone has AI virtual assistant Bixby for hands-free control, pogo pins connector on the sides for optional keyboard accessory, and connectivity options such as dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with GLONASS, and USB Type-C. The entire setup weighs 420 grams and is driven by a massive 7,040mAh battery.
