Your Willy Wonka dream of winning a golden ticket to a world full of chocolate might have just come true. But instead of rivers of molten chocolate and unlimited candy, expect chocolate sculptures and an all-cocoa menu curated by expert chocolatiers–all abode a Mediterranean cruise on the Ligurian Sea.

A partnership between Italy’s Eurochocolate (regarded as one of the largest international chocolate festivals) and Costa Cruises will give 3,780 guests the chance to indulge in an exclusive chocolate-themed cruise. The eight-day trip will begin on 16 April 2020 from Civitavecchia, Italy, with Genoa, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Malta, and Catania as ports of call.

For starters, guests will be treated with a welcome kit filled with gifts and chocolate-themed gadgets. There will also be “ChocoCocktails”, along with other food and beverage options. The agenda will also feature chocolate-centric excursions, including a stop at Barcelona’s Chocolate Museum. You can attend chocolate-making masterclasses by experts such as Gobino, Enric Rovira and Pierpaolo Ruta, and tasting sessions that will feature “the finest types of chocolate combined with wine, grappas, and spirits”. Also in store is an exclusive cooking event with famous Italian cook Sonia Peronaci.
