The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack in London.  In the incident that took place on Friday, the attacker was camped out in police action.  At the same time, two of the people injured in the attack were killed.

 Referring to a group of countries that claimed responsibility for the attack, IS said, "The person who attacked London was an Islamic State fighter and did so in response to calls to target civilians of coalition countries."  No evidence has been presented on behalf of IS by the attacker.

 Neil Basu, head of the London Police Counter Terrorism Team, had informed the media that the attacker has been identified as 28-year-old Usman Khan.  Khan was convicted and convicted in terrorist acts in 2012, he was released from prison in 2018.
