The trial in the Anti-Terrorism Court here will begin next month on charges of terrorism funding against the mastermind of Mumbai terror attack and banned organization Jamaat-ud Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed.  The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore held a hearing on Saturday against Saeed and his associates for financing terrorism and set a date for December 7 for the indictment against the Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief and others in the case.

"The ATC Judge Arshad Hussain Bhutta fixed December 7 for prosecution against Saeed and others after hearing the arguments of prosecution and defense lawyers," a court official said after the hearing.  He said that prosecutor Abdur Rauf Bhatti requested the court to conduct the hearing on a day to day basis to expedite the hearing of the case which was opposed by Saeed's lawyer.  The officer said, "The judge said that he has to complete the hearing on the evidence and merits."  He said that the court adjourned the case till 7 December.
