Immortalised in bronze on the Surfers Paradise foreshore, Lacey was one of the best.

He snared 47 medals, including 18 gold, at 22 consecutive Australian Surf Life Saving Championships from 1963-84.

As well as being an elite-sportsmen, Lacey forged a successful career in property development that his son Adam Lacey has continued

Now, an apartment in one of his developments at Palm Beach is currently the major prize for Surf Life Saving Lotteries.

“We were thrilled when we heard surf lifesaving had secured a lot at The Jefferson and that it will support this wonderful movement,” Adam Lacey said.

“I’m sure dad would be looking down with a cheeky grin on his face knowing the Lacey legacy lives on.”

You could win this Gold Coast prize home at The Jefferson, Palm Beach.

The prize home is valued at more than $1.1 million and is on Jefferson Lane.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment has a two-car garage and pool, as well as ocean views.

“One of the great points about The Jefferson is the uninterrupted ocean views from most units,” Mr Lacey said.

“The ocean and city skylines are breathtaking and show off just how spoiled we are on the Gold Coast.”
