First Look: Katrina Kaif's wax statue at Madame Tussauds
The long wait has finally come to an end. Here is the gorgeous Katrina Kaif's wax statue at the prestigious Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in London. As revealed before, the statue is in a 'dancing pose' from Katrina's famous number 'Sheila Ki Jawani' and is, donning a silver and pink costume.
The statue was unveiled in a grand ceremony just few minutes back, amidst 'dhols' and 'band baaja'. Katrina was in attendance and said she loved the wax replica of herself.
Katrina beat Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra to be the eighth Bollywood celebrity at Madame Tussauds after the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Madhuri Dixit-Nene.
Katrina's efforts has paid off since the B-town star had co-operated with the Tussauds team to get this statue ready. Madame Tussauds had tweeted saying,"Katrina has collaborated closely with our sculptors and artists to decide a dancing pose and outfit for the figure, having given a sitting in Mumbai where all the measurements required to create an accurate likeness were gathered. A team of 20 artists will work on the figure, which will cost £150,000 to produce, and completion is scheduled for Spring 2015 when it is hoped Katrina will unveil the figure herself here at our London attraction."
Well, it is now ready for everyone to see. Thoughts?
