Sports Desk: Former captain of the Indian cricket team and legendary wicketkeeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15 at 7.29 pm. Since then, everyone has been wishing Dhoni for a new journey and sharing tales with him. Now R. Ashwin has revealed an anecdote of Dhoni. Ashwin said that Dhoni had tears in his eyes after retiring in the Test and was wearing the jersey all night.

Giving information about this, Ashwin said that I remember that when he retired from Test cricket in 2014, I was trying to save the match in Melbourne with Mahi. He said when we lost the match, he picked up a stump and said that it was done. This was a very emotional moment for him. That evening, I, Suresh Raina and Ishant Sharma were sitting in his room in the evening. He was wearing his test jersey all night and had tears in his eyes.

During this, Ashwin also recalled his first meeting with Dhoni. He said, I met Dhoni as a net bowler during the India-West Indies ODI series in Chepak. After this I met him in 2008 after joining Chennai Super Kings and learned a lot under his captaincy. He said, he was a mature leader.
