Windows Central 2020-08-18 21:30:03

Plugable announced a new docking station today that allows you to connect a PC to three monitors at once. The docking station is called the UD-3900PDZ, and it combines DisplayLink, Alternate Mode, and Power Delivery technologies to connect a PC to an entire multi-monitor setup through a single USB-C cable. The docking station is available starting today for $149.

In addition to the docking station allowing you to connect to multiple monitors at once, it also has six USB 3.0 5Gbps ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It also provides up to 60W of power delivery, so when you disconnect your laptop, it should have a full charge.

While the UD-3900PDZ can connect your PC to three monitors at once, the monitors are limited to different resolutions. With its three HDMI display ports, the docking station reaches 4K with 30Hz on the first HDMI display and 1920x1200 on the second and third displays.

The docking station supports Windows 10 PCs that have a compatible USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port.
