CM Patnaik emphasizes on area-based strategy to deal with covid-19
Bhubaneswar Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has directed officials to adopt sector-based strategy to tackle covid-19 in Khurda, Cuttack, Sundargarh and Raigad. Recently , cases of covid-19 have increased in these districts of the state . The official said that 20,388 patients are currently being treated, of which 32 percent are from these four districts. In the review meeting, the Chief Minister asked the officials to step up the investigation of covid-19 in the state.
He also congratulated the District Magistrate and health officials for their services to combat the corona virus and for conducting more than 50,000 investigations a day. The Health Department has so far examined over 10 lakh samples. Seeing increasing cases of untreated infections in the state, Patnaik also asked the officials to promote treatment at home with the help of elected representatives of panchayats and members of Kovid care committees. 64,533 cases of Kovid-19 have been reported in Odisha, out of which 45,315 patients have been cured and 362 have lost their lives.
