Police not planning to collect CDR of Kovid-19 patients: Kerala government
Kochi. The Kerala government on Wednesday informed the High Court that the state police was not planning to collect call data records (CDRs) of covid-19 patients living in segregated homes and admitted in various hospitals . Ramesh Chennithala, the Leader of the Opposition in the Kerala Legislative Assembly, had filed a PIL seeking cancellation of a police circular. According to him, it was directed to store CDR of patients of covid-19.
The government said this while considering this PIL by the court. However, the government said that it had planned to keep a record of the tower location of mobile phones being used by Kovid-19 patients. The court adjourned the hearing till Thursday and asked the state government to give a statement in the case.
